Eye contact
I relate deeply to that dream right now. Each area of life has been tested by a “storm.” I just stared at the heaviest one in the eye. In that moment of clarity, I received perspective and peace that could not be discovered by running from or avoiding the “storm.”
As everything in my life felt like it was up in the air from the winds in “my storm,” I have sat in the middle with myself and this is where I not only got clarity on “my storm” but also internally and boldness rose within me. In my storm, I have unlocked understanding of me and what truly matters to me.
Greatest gifts
Treasure to me is priceless. It’s not something of monetary value to me. I think of a “treasure chest” and searching far and wide or how “treasure” seems to be secured to prevent loss. Who deems it as treasure is up to the individual. What you treasure is what holds the greatest value in your eyes. It brings clarity to the quote, “one man's trash is another man's treasure.”
Gift? Something given that you didn’t earn.
What do you see
You can have both. Both exist. Like the original photo of black and white. You can stare at absence or abundance. You can see void or possibility. Life doesn’t stop. Whether you play a role in the outcome or it feels like life happened to you, I urge you to take a snapshot.
